Wildlife Tour & Hike (self guided) to Grewingk Glacier Lake

Your captain and guide will cruise across the bay, stopping for puffin, guillemots, otters, and other wildlife. He’ll provide you with a map and instructions for a self-guided hike along Grewingk Lake Trail, beginning on Glacier Spit. The trail leads to Grewingk Glacier Lake, where icebergs dot the lake’s surface and the glacier glows blue in the distance. Witness geological forces in action and glimpse snow-streaked mountain peaks. Return to your water taxi pick-up via the Saddle Trail, which will give you a different vantage on the beauty of Kachemak Bay

Join commercial fisherman and adventure captain Alan Parks on an exploration of the people, culture, and wildlife of Kachemak Bay. With Alan at the helm, you’ll set a course for the charming artist hamlet of Halibut Cove, while he shares stories about life on and around the bay. Get a close-up view of the Gull Island seabird rookery, where puffins, cormorants, and murres nest by the thousands. Watch for sea otters, seals, and bald eagles too.
