Shorebird Festival
All shorebird sponsored kayak adventures start with a water taxi ride to the shores of Kachemak Bay State Park known for its incredible bio diversity and abundant wildlife and nesting birds.
You will return to Homer on a water taxi.
Trip durations include check in at Alan's Water Taxi office located at the top of Ramp 2 across from the Boat Pavilion.

Kayaking & Glacier Hike Tour
A boat cruise to Peterson Bay where we begin paddling this unique coastline with tectonic rock formations, the artist village of Halibut Cove. Puffins, Guillemots, Cormorants, a Loon calls, Otters move with a swish of a tail, a smile forms. Lunch before hiking a series of short switch backs, through old growth forest and glacier & mountain views. A place of wonderment! Grewingk Glacier Lake, floating icebergs & mountain peaks created.
Adventure includes: water taxi, guide for the day, kayak equipment and instructions. We will also have an assortment of tasty healthy snacks and hot drinks. Check in at 7:30am– arrives back in Homer between 5 &
6pm.

Go With The Flow: Kayaking Tour
The current will carry you through the calm waters of China Poot Bay. Listen to a Black Oystercatcher, an Eagle with a flounder clinched in its claws dancing with pursuing crows, Harlequin Ducks take off leaving patterns on the surface, the shoreline is flowing with rose color tectonic rock formations. Puffins, Guillemots, Cormorants, Murres, Otters and wildlife are present.
Adventure includes: water taxi, guide for the day, kayak equipment and instructions. We will also have an assortment of tasty healthy snacks and hot drinks. Check in at 12:30 – arrives back in Homer at 5:30

The Wise & Wonderful Journey Tour
Join guide & local bird expert Willy Dunne; Gull Island is flourishing with excitement, mating calls are herd within the music of nesting birds, smoothly we approach Puffins, Guillemots, Cormorants, Kittiwake's & Murres. Kachemak Bay is alive with biodiversity, Willy moves to his special birding places scouting for Aleutian Terns, Rednecked Phalaropes & Murrelets. Foraging Otters, nesting Eagles, a Loon calls, Sea Ducks cast refections, memories are created.

People, Place & Wildlife Tour
I first left the Harbor as a young boy in 1976, a full moon cast on a calm Kachemak Bay, Porpoises played with the bow, it was the coolest thing! Join commercial fishermen, adventurer captain Alan Parks, a course set to Halibut Cove, Alan talks about a way life on Kachemak Bay, connections of people, place and wildlife. Passing Gull Island, Puffins, Guillemots, Cormorants and wildlife.

Wild Life Tour & Hike (self guided) to Grewingk Glacier Lake
Captain Willy Dunne & bird expert follows the coast stopping for Puffins, Guillemots, Otters and wildlife. Dropping you for an easy self guided hike on Glacier spit, across the glacier moraine to the open beaches of Grewingk Glacier Lake, icebergs, mountain peaks. Returning on the Saddle trail with views of Halibut Cove. A point to point hike, a map with simple instructions provided make this a safe adventure.
